American Red Cross Learn To Swim Program at Graydon
The American Red Cross offers a comprehensive, developmentally appropriate swimming and water safety program that teaches you, your child or other family members how to swim skillfully and safely, and think and act safely in, on and around the water.
In order to place your child in the appropriate level, our Learn To Swim Water Safety Instructors will hold a mandatory placement test on the first day of class.
The prerequisite for each level is the successful demonstration of skills from the preceding level, except for Level 1, which has no prerequisites.
We cater to your family's busy schedule by offering every level of instruction during each class time. Simply chose the time that works best for you, and your child is guaranteed placement in the level most appropriate to their abilities.
The program is comprised of:
- Level I: Intro to Water Skills
- Level II: Fundamental Skills
- Level III: Stroke Development
- Level IV: Stroke Improvement
- Level V: Stroke Refinement
- Level VI: Skills Proficiency
There will be two sessions: June 28—July 15 and July 19—August 4. The 30-minute classes will be held Monday through Friday for a total of 13 classes. Minimum age for enrollment: 4 years old. Must be a Graydon Pool badge holder.
Cost: $150 per session. Signup deadline: June 25 (Session 1) and July 16 (Session 2).
