CHRIST CHURCH RIDGEWOOD HOLDS SECOND CONCERT IN SERIES
On Sunday, January 23 at 4 p.m., Baritone Vladimir Lapin and pianist Janet Montroy will perform a program of Russian Romances and popular Broadway music on the Christ Church Ridgewood Concert Series. Located at the corner of Franklin Avenue and Cottage Place.   The program will feature works by composers Glinka, Tchaikovsky, Porter, Rodgers, among others.
Mr. Lapin holds degrees from Temple University and the Mannes College of Music.  His primary teachers included Arthur Levy and Kathryna Blum Barone.  A native of Belarus, Vladimir Lapin is an active recitalist in the New York area.  He has appeared in the Centro Lirica Opera Festival in Novafeltria, Italy.  He subsequently toured Italy and France.  Mr. Lapin has been soloist in Orff's Carmina Burana under the direction of Frank Nemhouser, Fauré's Requiem under the direction of Cynthia Powell, and Mendelssohn's Elijah under the direction of Robert Long.  He has also appeared at Merkin Hall in Georgi Sviridov's St. Petersburg Songs.
