Grandma And Grandpa This Grandparents Day
Are you ready to share this Grandparents Day This Sept 9th in 2012?
Yes, it's time to celebrate those who care for us, love us and gave us life. It's also time for seniors (like this traveling Newsman) to spend some time with their grandchildren. No so easy for this 90 year old struggling with a shared computer.
This special day began in 1970, when Marian Lucille Herndon McQuade, a housewife living in Virginia, started a campaign to create this holiday. She saw success in 1973, when the first Grandparents day was established by Congress legislation to dedicate the first Sunday after labor day to grandparents. Making it a national recognized holiday.

New Comers Coffee Hour a huge success at the Stable this morning.
Nice to see so many new young couples from around the area in attendance.
Ridgewood News reporter took some photos for a story. Will try to post one two of my own to share.
Attending Council members were great in answering questions and providing information about Ridgewood government and services.
It was a huge success. Vilage Clerk Henrihetta handled all details perfectly as usual.
