Mitch Coats of Team Alliance BJJ,  the #1 Brazilian Jiu Jitsu team in the world, paid a visit to American Eagle MMA & Kettlebells the week of June 25th- 30th. The students were treated to expert BJJ techniques, strategies and flow drills. His visit and training provided a healthy “shot in the arm” to the BJJ program at AEMMA. 

Not only were the students of AEMMA treated to a great workshop on Saturday, June 30th, but several students from other BJJ schools were in attendance to partake in the learning sessions. The feedback was all positive. 

Master Phil Ross was presented with his purple belt in BJJ, which qualifies him to be a certified BJJ instructor with Team Alliance BJJ. He is also a certified Submission Grappling instructor and a Champion, Expert No-Gi competitor. Two of Master Ross’ students, Dave Ferrazzano and James Foody were promoted to Blue Belt. 

Mitch Coats will be back for another workshop and BJJ week in November.
