Fox's Expanding, Taking Over Former Bookends Location

It's still unclear what the plan holds or when construction will begin.

Chic women's clothing store Fox's is expanding its operations in Ridgewood, taking over the space that used to house Bookends on lower E. Ridgewood Avenue.

Manager Diana Bryce said Thursday the chain apparel store had leased the neighboring storefront and they're still waiting on permits from the town.

Though an architect has been contacted, there's no floorplan design or a construction timeline yet. It seems likely the wall that separates the two businesses will be knocked down.

It's the second business to annouce an expansion in recent days. Upscale restaurant Pearl will be adding floorspace by taking over its neighbor to the north.
