Fun for All at the Stetson Ball!
'Party of the year' to benefit the Ridgewood Public Library lived up to its billing
Hundreds of cowboys and cowgirls dosey-do'd in a decidedly Western-looking tent on Saturday night for the hyped Stetson Gala Ball extravaganza.
Around 650 Ridgewood residents were in attendance despite the rain. Willie Geist, of MSNBC, served as the master of ceremonies and auctioneer. He reminded the guests to leave their views of turf, taxes, hospitals and swimming pools at the door.
With an open whiskey bar, great giveaways, bands, delicious food, and an auction that netted the Ridgewood Public Library some cash, the 'party of the year' did not disappoint.
Take a look at the photos and tip your cap!

Huge rodeo was a roundup of all Rwd types, gentelmen to cowboys and indians- Great smile on Nancy Greene's face said it all . Ken Gabbert, Dan Fishbein and others.
End of night pickup by Chuck Russo of HHK was a perfect end to giving back- he served as leftover food courier for Table to Table.
Thanks to all the volunteers , Committee, Board members and Community members!

Catherine and Gwen (and their outstanding committee) did a FABULOUS job in creating this event. Theme was terrific for a community event (no one had to buy new clothes!)...and it was FUN!
Kudos to all of you for a great round-up of party-planning talent and for a successful community event which proves what kind of town we live in!
Congratulations!

From denim to diamonds and moooving cows to goody bags, the Gala was a blast. Didn’t you love seeing the age range—from 93 and still going strong to the teenagers? And all of the rest of us in between. So neat to have so many under that enormous Tent and throughout the library. Great a capella from RHS, tricky Line Dancing attracting what seemed to be Jamboree parents past and present; rocking (and loud) music from Total Soul, the delicious food—weren’t the sliders great; the darling young cowboys and cowgirls from RHS; the striped, mustachioed and very jovial bartenders (Dad’s Night types for sure), and of course, all the western decorations, which, by the way, are all for sale at the library. We thank you, Ridgewood, for supporting your library and being such a happy, good time crowd. Let’s do it again. Catherine Donnelly
