Glen Rock Cancels School on Monday, Tuesday

Power still out for much of the borough though PSE&G is here.

Glen Rock students are sure to be out of school for at least a week after officials said Saturday that the schools would not be opening on Monday or Tuesday.

The impacts of Hurricane Sandy were widespread in the borough. High winds knocked out power to several schools and downed power lines as well as trees throughout Glen Rock.

There's still no exact date for school to start up again.

The good news is PSE&G is in the borough, Glen Rock reported Saturday.

The utility said 100 percent of power should be up by 11:59 p.m. Monday. Then, on Sunday, the timetable moved back a day.

Ridgewood still has not made a decision as to if school will be open Monday.

Dental insurance is a handy service to have when major problems happen. It gives you instant access to a dental professional that can perform the necessary tasks to improve your dental health. Usually, you can just present your dental insurance card to a dentist office and all of your included benefits will be verified. With dental insurance, you won't have to pay the full cost of a pricey dental procedure. Pay a preset amount or percentage of a dental procedure in order to save money. Thanks,

Place a cloth napkin over your forearm, folded in thirds, to collect any drips spilled from the bottle while pouring. Cradle the wine bottle on top of the napkin with the bottom in the palm of the hand, label facing out at all times. Never carry the bottle by the neck or below your waist. Thanks.
