Wasn't the turn of the century 12 years ago?

And 112 years ago, and 212 years ago, and...
Anyway, Ken F., which of those photos bring back the best feelings? I didn't grow up in Glen Rock but it's really neat looking at the canoes in Lamy's Lake and the train station with really nothing around it.

Is Lamy's lake at the Arboretum? I have never heard it called that before.

I have no idea where Lamy's Lake is/was but that was a cool picture. I like the picture of town hall before it was ruined and of neighborhood streets with old cars on them. Some of those street pictures show few and small trees on them.

I dunno much about Lamy's Lake, to be perfectly honest. In looking at trusty Google Maps, the only things it seems it could be/been is at the arboretum or the body of water between Chatham, Dunham and Lowell.

Any long-time residents know what Lamy's Lake is/was? Would be cool to find out.

I think Lamy's lake would be the lake behind the homes along Boulevard. Opposite Grandview and Fairview Roads. Its beautiful there, and not many people know about it.
Its large enough to swim and kayak. There are docks and a fountain. And of course they can skate in the winter.
Those homes are lakefront in Glen Rock ! Kind of cool.

That is really nifty. Thanks for the info, Rock. Sounds like it would make a nice photo gallery (in the spring, obviously). I'll try to keep that in mind.

I grew up on that Lake in the 60s &70s, and it was just referred to as "The Lake"; never knew the Lamy's Lake name, and neither did anyone else I've shown this too. It's on the Boulevard, by Grandview and Fairview. Great place to grow up.
