Raymond's has Opened in Ridgewood
The restaurant – which opened Monday – is delaying dinner service until after the holidays.
It's taken a little while, but the wait is over. Highly anticipated, Raymond's opened to the Ridgewood public Monday morning, co-owner Joanne Ricci told Patch.
For now, Raymond's will only be offering breakfast, brunch and lunch services. Dinner service is expected to start up after the holidays.
Famous for its French toast, Ridgewood is the brunch heavyweight's second location, the first opening in Montclair nearly 25 years ago. The village location's menu is largely modeled after the Montclair offerings.
"Thanks to everyone for all of the well wishes," the restaurant wrote on its Facebook page Monday. "We are truly blessed and grateful."
Raymond's is located at 101 East Ridgewood Avenue. You can call them up at 201-445-5125.

I went yesterday, with my Mom. It was delicious! The service was very attentive, and we both enjoyed our breakfasts. Mom got an omelet and I had to try the french toast. Both were fabulous and we thought we got a lot of food for the prices. Plus the atmosphere is really nice, with an antique looking tin ceiling and subway tiling. I think it will be nice in the Spring with the doors and windows open, too.

I guess James' sources were right after all. Is there a link to the menu somewhere?

Great point. On 12/4 James reports that it is opening next week. The owner writes and accuses him of publishing without checking facts. Then it opens on 12/10. Seems like James knew better than the owner on this one.

I'll look around for a menu, JAFO. If I can't find one online, I'll take some photos of the menu when I stop by for brunch.

Same experience as Ridgewood Mom 26, down to the same food my sister and I ordered. It has a very happy, down-to-earth vibe too.

Good food, still somewhat expensive. Easily the best brunch place in the area but the quality is still not up to par with Montclair (coffee, lattes, eggs, hot food at your table, etc). However, the service is very good so I think it's a matter of time. 6 months from now the Country Pancake house will be offering delivery service.
