RHS Principal Search Continues
Recommendation could be brought to school board by early April
A recommendation for the next leader of Ridgewood High School could be brought to the school board by April, Superintendent Daniel Fishbein said at Monday's school board meeting.
Applications for the job will be accepted through the end of the week, the superintendent said. The first round of interviews will be conducted over the spring break, a second round with a constituent group of parents and community leaders will follow shortly thereafter, from March 12-16. Fishbein will have his own interviews. On-site visits will also take place over March.
Forty-three applications have so far been received. The school board may have a recommendation from the exploratory committee by April 2, Fishbein said.
Jack Lorenz resigned in December after disputes with the district over performance evaluations and what he called philosophical differences. RHS Vice Principals Basil Pizzuto and Jeff Nyhuis took over as co-principals.
