Ridgewood music, art festival served as a legacy to the late Matthew Sayles.

A large crowd turned out Sunday to celebrate the life of a young Ridgewood native who lost his life to a rare form of cancer in 2011.

"Saylestock" brought a number of jam bands and artists to Ridgewood's Van Neste Square to remember Matthew Sayles, who died of salivary duct cancer in Nov. 2011.

Sayles, 26 at the time of his death, was a math teacher at Midland Park High School.
