Special-Needs Soccer Program Has Fall Openings

The clinic offers individual instruction for special-needs children

The Ridgewood Soccer Association (RSA) has positions open in its special-needs program for the fall season. The clinic offers individual attention from members of the women’s Ridgewood High School soccer team for children ages five to 14 who need the extra help.

"It is fun just to see the players hang out with the high school girls," said program director Bill Behan, in a . He explained how kids and the girls from the school relate well to each other, which fosters a special bond between them and encourages the kids with special needs to really feel comfortable.

The program draws between ten and 20 children each year.
