A tree collapsed on a Ridgewood home Thursday night, though no injuries were reported.

A large tree fell on a N. Monroe St. home late Thursday afternoon, causing damage to the roof but not resulting in any injuries.

According to Ridgewood Fire Department Lt. Steven Maffei, a significant portion of a tree on a neighbor's property crashed through the roof of a home on N. Monroe St. at around 5 p.m. Thursday.

The occupants of the home were not in the room at the time and no injuries resulted. There was some damage to the roof and minor structural damage to the home, Maffei said. A window shattered as a result of the tree collapse but no electrical wires were taken down.

Downes Tree Service arrived to cut and clear the damaged tree.
