Valley Hospital Cancels Surgeries on Tuesday
Hospital well-stocked, well staffed for storm-related emergencies.
The Valley Hospital in Ridgewood announced Monday all elective surgeries and outpatient procedures will be canceled for Tuesday.
"The hospital’s emergency operations team will meet every two hours throughout the storm," the hospital said in a statement. "Thanks to advance planning we are well-stocked with supplies, have sufficient staffing, and are well-equipped to handle the storm."
The storm is expected to bring winds up to 75 mph throughout Monday. Flood conditions could start later in the day.
The hospital has backup generators. Should power go out, having power restored would be a top priority for PSE&G.
