Life in Ridgewood and the surrounding area during the Civil War was decidedly different than it is now. Many didn't attend school, fashions were quite different and families often found themselves on the opposite sides of battle.
Gerri Abdoo produced a fantastic video on the exhibit "The Civil War Years" at the Schoolhouse Museum, narrated by Ridgewood's most famous author, Harlan Coben.
