Elementary school-age children have a fascination with the world of mechanical operations-- from how amusement park rides work to how cars move down the road—and a curiosity about how computers set things in motion.

After-school and weekend Science, Engineering, Technology and Math (S.T.E.M) learning enrichment lab courses, such as the RealScience!: Robots Are Coming courses offered at Ridgewood’s Little Ivy Academy, capture your child’s natural curiosity, combining the big, messy fun of hands-on enrichment programs and an evolving S.T.E.M. curriculum that tracks New Jersey’s core curriculum standards.

Combining LEGOs and a range of additional materials for the engineering, plus a programming language created especially for young, elementary school-age children, The Robots Are Coming small-group learning lab sequence provides your child with full access to the hands-on world of engineering and the creative uses of math and science.

Adventure awaits during each session of every eight-week enrichment course, your child will have real fun, along with real learning, making arms move, gears turn and wheels spin as they bring life to their creations (Little Ivy Academy’s age-appropriate programming language is so accessible that it doesn’t require advanced reading skills to get underway!)

After-school and Saturday sessions of Robots in Motion, the first in the Robots Are Coming sequence of small-group enrichment labs for kindergarteners through fifth graders, begin the last week of September.
