NY Giants VS. NE Patriots...Who Will Win The Super Bowl?

THE VIEW FROM MY ROOM AS THE GIANTS TAKE ON THE PATRIOTS IN INDY

Here are some things that I will be paying attention to as the Giants and Patriots battle in Indianpolis for Pro Football's world championship......THE SUPER BOWL

DO BOTH TEAMS HAVE TO CONTINUALLY START FROM THEIR OWN 20 YARD LINE?

This year the NFL has moved the kickoffs from the 30 to the 35 yard line. The end result is more touchbacks requiring longer scoring drives for the offenses. If one team does not get the ball to the endzone on kickoffs does that result in better field position and shorter scoring drives?

CAN THE GIANTS PUNISH THE PATRIOTS' TOM BRADY WITH THEIR PASS RUSH USING JUST THE 4 DEFENSIVE LINEMEN?

As in Super Bowl 42, the outcome of this game hinges on the Giants making Brady uncomfortable by pressuring him up the middle. If they can do this consistantly, the Giants will be hard to beat.

CAN THE PATRIOTS RUN THE BALL ON THE GIANTS DEFENSE SPECIFICALLY TO THE EDGES OF THE DEFENSE?

Since New York's pass rush comes from the ends, successful rushes to the outside will create a a cause for pause before getting after the quarterback with reckless abandon. If New England cannot run the ball, the Giants will win.

WHICH TEAM WILL EFFECTIVELY CONTROL FIELD POSITION?

A crucial aspect of this game is special teams, how well the offenses are setup with field position. The Giants have been helped immeasurably by the NFL's rule change on kickoffs. Lawrence Tynes on kickoffs has been reaching deep in the end zone repeatedly especially indoors.  As a result teams start against the Giants usually on their own 20 yard line. With last week's game in San Francisco being the exception, the Giants punt coverage team has not been the teams' strongest suit.  Steve Weatherford has helped by doing a great job by punting the ball outside the numbers. Watch to see if either punter kiicks the baii down the middle of the field.

THE VIEW FROM HERE SEES THE GIANTS WINNING THIS GAME BY ANSWERING THESE QUESTIONS AND BY PUNISHING A LACKLUSTER PATRIOT PASS DEFENSE WITH AN AERIAL EXPLOSION AT THE HANDS OF SUPER BOWL MVP ELI MANNING.

My Prediction: GIANTS 34, PATRIOTS 17

The two are so closely matched that I think it'll come down to turnovers. Whoever gives up the ball more will likely lose. I just wanna see a good game and hope the refs can make good calls all game long. I'd like to see the Giants win.
