Join the “Springtide” celebration. Festivities will take place all throughout the day rain or shine. They include activities and games lead by staff and volunteers dressed in nineteenth century garb, as well as crafts, and period music. Don’t miss the genuine, nineteenth-century style fish bake done over an open fire. Free sampler plates of the baked fish will be served at 2:00 PM. New this year to the event is the opportunity to join in an old-fashioned barn dance hosted by the New York City Barn Dance Company. Stop by the Pavilion for a twirl anytime between 12:00 PM and 2:00 PM. All events take place at and around the historic picnic pavilion at Alpine Boat Basin & Picnic Area (Alpine entrance/PIP Exit 2) and, the best part, they are FREE! Refreshments will be available for purchase all afternoon, or feel free to pack a picnic lunch! What a great way to celebrate Spring and spend a fun-filled day with your family!
