Unbelievable. The Patch is referring to this nonsense as "Breaking News." By the way,Read MoreBook ends should be commended for its willingness to hold book signings by authors from every point on the political, sports, news, entertainment, and literary spectrum. Anyone could be there on a day with less than ideal weather, too. If it was that uncomfortable for you, think how the authors must feel having to greet hundreds of people who've been waiting in line - ripening, if you will - for hours.

Looking at all the races Garrett has been in, he has won by a margin of nearly 10% or better. After Read Moreredistricting, same conclusion. Mid-term elections, strong results. Mr. Cho may be a nice guy but he has a long road. Good luck!

Hate to rain on the hashtag hijinx, other assorted sloganeering and kumbaya moments but here areRead Morethe facts.... Last time around a a weak candidate lost to Garrett by 38k votes...Garrett has the yahoos in Warren, Passaic and Sussex locked up with a 30k vote majority (last election) which will not change. Of the of 300k votes in our district held hostage, over 200k were cast in Bergen Cty ( he lost Bergen by 8k)...registration in Bergen 5th district is appx 326k, of which 155k are INDEPENDENT...and as Repubs have a majority registration wise the bookend vote represented Bergen pretty well...if Cho can get INDEPENDENTS out and win Bergen by 40k or so (which is possible), the Xmas tree farmer goes home...I do not think these stay at homes are going to rally around Bill Maher, hashtags and social platforms... I do hope Cho has the right folks running the show- the big thing is to articulate a vision and get the farmer to debate him in BERGEN county, not some farm up north.

Oh yeah, Roy may have a better shot as he is a Bergen resident...

Once again the puppet dances to the puppet master LTR. Lets watch him dance once more....In 2011,Read More22 6 children were killed in drunk driving crashes. Of those, 122 (54% percent) were riding with the drunk driver. NHTSA data query, 2013. - See more at: http://www.madd.org/statistics/#sthash.RXp6gW6A.dpuf Number of vehicle control laws passed by Democrats to stop this massacre - ZERO!

COA- Yes I saw it and that's the message that has to be continually pushed...and furtherRead Morearticulated ...as for his recent votes, NO to further funding of NICS...he was the ONLY NJ rep to vote no (the funding did pass no thanks to him), and he voted YES to abolish the Legal Svcs Corp, which actually works quite well and cost effectively in providing legal counsel to low income people...and the NICS additional funding was an actual bi-partisan effort- let's see what he does next week!
paul smith June 05, 2014 at 08:24 PM
sorry, his votes as in Scotty boy's...my other point was your post conveys the right message...Read Moretyi ng the dump Garrett stuff in the gay pride month post is not the recipe for getting the voters sitting on their hands to the polls...as Tip O'Neill rightly stated in his own boston brahmin patriarchal new england way..."All politics is local"... and in Bergen, you're talking dollars and cents...
Citizen of America June 02, 2014 at 01:49 PM
I agree with Paul -- let's not allow Garrett's homophobia distract us from his fiscal incompetence. Read More#DumpTheTeabagger #WatchTheTrainedMonkeyTakeTheBait
paul smith June 02, 2014 at 08:14 PM
4women- social issues are not going to get more people to the polls- the people focusing on socialRead Morei nstead of fiscal issues are the ones who have been voting- people that see fiscal issues as important are likely the majority of stay at home voters- the 2 polar ends are set and will vote, getting the middle to the polls is the issue, and rainbow flags aint gonna get independents and moderates to the booth- That NJ gets 61 cents for every buck to dc is a good starting point- and if Roy Cho can articulate a decent fiscal position where we get at least 75 cents back for every buck, the NJ fiscal hole is rapidly filled- that means, horror of horrors, red states may have to pay their own way (except Texas, which does already)-
