Sign ups start at 6 p.m. (just look for Andrew Nieoporent), and performers go on at 7 p.m. Monday is the first day of Ramadan, the month-long Islamic holiday of fasting. 1) Governor Christie falls ill Governor Christie went to the hospital Thursday after experiencing asthma-like symptoms while on his way to a bill signing. He emerged later that evening to tell eager reporters it was the first time since high school that asthma sent him to the hospital, and that he just wanted to go home and get a little sleep. There are no council meetings in the village this week, which is a real heartbreaker for us at Patch. Still, there are plenty of exciting summertime events to look forward to.
