Chef Jeremiah Buchanan Echeandia Returns Home To Ridgewood As The New Executive Chef of mémoire
Ridgewood, NJ: Today, mémoire, an upscale restaurant offering seasonal, eclectic cuisine announced that Chef Jeremiah Buchanan Echeandia is the restaurant’s new Executive Chef.
Mémoire owner and restaurateur, Thomas Finnelli said, “Chef Echeandia grew up in Ridgewood and is very excited to return to his hometown, eager to make an impact on one of Bergen County’s top restaurant dining destinations. He is a very talented chef with experience in both traditional and modern cooking techniques and has already started to re-invent our Spring dinner menu, bringing it more in line with our eclectic style of cuisine. We are very excited to have him join our team as we continue our quest to be the top restaurant in Ridgewood and one of the top restaurants in Bergen County.”

After graduating from the prestigious Johnson & Wales University, Chef Echeandia traveled abroad to Asia and had the chance to intern at a variety of restaurants in France, Italy and Spain. After returning home, he worked at some of the most prestigious and highly regarded restaurants in the Hamptons, including The Farmhouse and East Hampton Point, as well as some prominent restaurants in New York City, such as Primehouse under Chef Brian O’Donohue and The Prime Grill under Chef Hok Chin.

In 2011, Chef Echeandia took over as Executive Chef of MK Valencia in Ridgefield Park where he redefined and elevated their menu. And after a brief stint as Executive Chef of Son Cubano in West New York, Chef Echeandia has begun a new journey coming back to the town he grew up in and loves so much.
