Homstead

For those that don't know about Holmstead Highschool in Ridgewood, as a parent, I owe to others, to spread the word of this fantastic alternative school.  My son has been there for two years and he has grown in leaps in bound. The combination of academics, diversity with classes, arts and recreation, nuturing and supportive staff, teaching to the "way your child learns", thinking out of the box, to even calling teachers by their first names and creating a friendly and mutually cohesive student - teacher relationship - this is a school like non other. If you're child is having difficulty in a traditional public high school setting, I urge you to check out Holmstead. I never met a more dedicated and motivated staff and director.  This school is a gift to our family!!
