Toni Zimmer- President of the New Jersey League of Women Voters will be Speaking in Ridgewood on February 20th


The public is invited to attend the Ridgewood League of Women Voter’s
meeting on  Thursday, February, 20th at 12:30pm.  The meeting will be
held at Village Hall, 131 North  Maple Avenue, Ridgewood, in the
senior center.

Toni Zimmer who is President of the LWV for the State of New Jersey
will be speaking.   Kerry Margaret Butch, Executive Director and Jesse
Burns, Director of Communications and Projects will be joining us as
well.

A short film will be presented, “Storming for the Vote: Hurricane
Sandy and the Election” which shows the extraordinary efforts that
were made after the devastation of Hurricane Sandy in enabling
citizens to get access to voting sites.

The League of Women Voters has always been a wonderful source of
information and activism for all of our citizens. The League is
nonpartisan yet at the same time we are a political organization that
works to influence policy through advocacy.

Come and get involved!  “Democracy is not a spectator sport!”
