Newcomers Enjoy Progressive Dinner
Appetizers, dinner and dessert all held at various members' homes.
About 50 members of the Glen Rock Newcomers Club enjoyed a night out, but with the added comfort of not really leaving home. The Progressive Dinner is the most popular annual event hosted by the Newcomers.
All guests enjoy appetizers at one person's home, then split up and have dinner at one of five different homes, and then all meet back together again to have dessert at another home. It is a great way for 'newcomers' to get to know each other in a relaxed setting. About half of the guests each year are new to Glen Rock and all the members tend to be young and married with preschoolers.
Food was catered by the Market Basket in Wyckoff and wines were provided by in Glen Rock. Guests were asked to bring a new toy for children at Chilton Memorial Hospital in Morristown.
