The Quest Autism Foundation of Wyckoff held its first ever 5K in Ridgewood on Saturday, June 14.

Hundreds of runners spent Father’s Day weekend taking in the scenic 5K course, and raising money and awareness for autism.

The community event at the Ridgewood Duck Pond also featured a Fun Run, performances by students from the Waldwick School of Rock, a Bounce House, Face Painter, and BBQ by Corrados supermarket.

“It has been a joy to watch this event come together and to see the support of the community," Quest Founder Jennifer Hoppe, said in a release about the event.

"Autism is a life-long quest and our organization is re-defining what it means to be an adult with autism. Our participants have jobs in the community and are living full and rewarding lives as a result of the Quest Autism Programs.”

Jonathan Panettieri of Harrington Park was the top finisher in the 5K, clocking in at 18:39.1.

15-year-old Erinn McGahan of Ramsey was the top female finisher. She came in 14th overall with a time of 21:57.5.
