Ridgewood Event to Celebrate NJ's 350th Birthday

'Picture History' is happening at the library next month.

The Ridgewood Public Library is planning to present a picture history of New Jersey meant to celebrate the state’s 350th birthday.

According to a recent release from the library, “Timeline NJ” is happening on Sunday, March 2 at 2 p.m. At the event, photographer and author Walter Choroszewski will present attendees with a “pictorial journey through the state’s history.”

This event is just one of many statewide meant to commemorate the 350th anniversary of the founding of New Jersey in 1664. The state has set up a “New Jersey 350” website to track all of the events and provide updates on the anniversary, and historical information about NJ.
