'Big Book Drive' Benefits Paterson Library Patrons

About 800 books were delivered from Ridgewood.

The Ridgewood Public Library has teamed up with authors, the region's daily newspaper and other bibliophiles to serenade Paterson library users with thousands of books.

Ridgewood best-selling author Harlan Coben was among those who donated books for the Big Book Drive, a three-week effort created by the Paterson Public Library and The Record and The Herald News newspapers.

Almost 800 books were dropped off in Ridgewood, northjersey.com reported Friday. The books are destined for Paterson's new library, scheduled to open in April.
