Ridgewood Makes Best Places For Homeownership List

Site ranked the top 70 towns in New Jersey for home ownership according to US Census data.

Personal finance website NerdWallet has named Ridgewood one of the top towns homeownership in New Jersey. The village was ranked 25th on the list of 70 Garden State towns.

The ranking was based on certain US Census data statistics, like home ownership rates, selected monthly owner costs as a percentage of median household income, median home value, and population change from 2010 to 2012.

"Homeownership in New Jersey can be expensive but our analysis found affordable places across the state, including areas close to Philadelphia and New York City," Maggie Clark, an analyst with NerdWallet, said.
