Ridgewood Named Top-10 Town for Family-Raising Renters

Ridgewood is one of the top 10 towns in the country for renters who want to raise families, according to a new ranking put together by rent.com.

Ridgewood was ranked No. 9 on the list, which considered crime rates, high school scores, percentage of family households, amount of rental inventory and other factors.

The ranking notes Ridgewood’s median rent for a two-bedroom apartment at $2,015, and cites the village’s many diverse dining options as a reason renters are attracted to raise families in town.

On the top 25 list, New Jersey had the most mentions of any state, with eight. Livingston nabbed the Number 1 spot and nearby Tenafly was named Number 3.
