Damage during the memorable 2011 Halloween Weekend Snowstorm was considerable along both the east and west sides of the tracks.
The village lost power in virtually all neighborhoods, businesses were closed for much of the weekend, workers were strained and the conditions have forced schools closures on Monday.
It puts a strange spin on Halloween, a typically joyful day for schoolchildren that will either be spent indoors or hopping over fallen branches and powerlines.
