Accomplished GRHS Pianist Performing Free Concert
Jae Young Kim, one of the best young pianists in the world, will perform a free recital at the high school.
A world-class pianist and senior at Glen Rock High School will be holding a free piano recital on Jan. 12 at 7 p.m. in the high school coir room.
A native of South Korea, Jae Young Kim has performed in some of the world's top conservatories, including Carnegie Hall. He has received numerous awards in both the U.S. and Korea, including his most recent second-place prize at the Korean Radio Broadcasting New York International Music Competition this year.
Kim also took home the grand prize at the Music Teachers National New York State Senior Piano Competition. He studies piano with Douglas Humpherys, Piano Chair of the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, N.Y.
