NJ Choral Society Going 'Bel Canto' in Ridgewood

will beplaying host to the New Jersey Choral Society's third annual patron "bel canto" celebration on Saturday, April 28 with a wide variety of fantastic musical performances.

Conductor Eric Dale Knapp – with Linda Sweetman-Waters on piano – will lead a gifted group of singers from NJCS to perform numbers ranging from Puccini to Offenbech and Verdi, even down to Bizet's Carmen and a sprinkling of Sweeney Todd numbers.

According to the organization, the event will include dinner, wine and a silent auction of items encompassing Yankee and Met tickets, all the way to Nooks, high-end handbags, tours of the Bergen County courthouse, spas and more. Proceeds will benefit the choral society.

The singers are well-known world-wide, having performed across Europe and Australia and China. The group will perform at Westminster Hall in London as an intro to the summer olympics, with a follow-up concert in Edinburgh, Scottland.
