Porch Light, GRHS Unveil 'Forum' Musical for Spring

Student-starred production "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum" kicks off on Feb. 7 at Glen Rock High School

The following release was sent by Porch Light Theatre in Glen Rock.

Glen Rock High School will present it's 2012 Spring musical, "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum," Thursday and Friday, February 7 and 8 at 7:30PM and Saturday, February 9 at 1:30PM and 7:30PM. A preview performance will also be held on Wednesday, February 6 at 1PM (free to senior citizens).

Broadway's greatest farce is light, fast-paced, witty, irreverent and one of the funniest musicals ever written.

Forum takes comedy back to its roots, combining situations from time-tested, 2000 year old comedies of Roman playwright Plautus with the infectious energy of classic vaudeville. Pseudolus, a crafty slave, struggles to win the hand of a beautiful but slow-witted courtesan named Philia, for his young master, Hero, in exchange for freedom.
