Watch: Ridgewood the Setting of Local Band's 'Strange' Video

Local act's song 'Strange November' has a fitting video, filmed in Ridgewood and released Wednesday.

"Strange November," musically speaking, isn't very odd. The track, from Ridgewood natives The Dicktations' forthcoming album, showcases the band's pop sense in a melodic if sometimes fuzzy two minutes.

The music video released Wednesday for the song, however, is definitely a little strange.

Directed by Ridgewood's Beth Rudig and Spencer Sapienza, it follows band frontman Miguel Gallego, a Ridgewood High School graduate and current Columbia University student, as he rides a stationary exercise cycle through a green screen version of village sights.

The "suburban vistas," as the band calls them, include an E.T.-like cruise across the overhead view of town from Heights Road, and some woodsy, autumn scenes of King's Pond. Edited with clips of the rest of the band doing some strange things, of course.

Gallego is joined in The Dicktations by guitarist Alex Drivanos, bassist Dan Lay and drummer Jeff Horn, all fellow RHS graduates.

Their album H*ECKHOUND is due out next year on indie label BUFU Records.
