Chef to Reopen Shuttered Restaurant in Ridgewood

'Picnic on the Square' in Ridgewood will be the new version on Picnic, a Fair Lawn restaurant that closed last year, reports say.

A chef with a long culinary history in Bergen County is re-opening her shuttered Fair Lawn restaurant in Ridgewood.

According to food blog BoozyBurbs.com, Chef Christine Nunn plans to open the 2.0 version of Picnic later this summer. The new restaurant will be called 'Picnic on the Square' and will be located at 26 Wilsey Square in Ridgewood, the report said.

The 40-seat restaurant will have a French-inspired menu that changes weekly, the report said.

Nunn will also continue to work as executive chef at Grange in Westwood, the report said.

According to nj.com, Nunn nabbed that position after shutting Fair Lawn's Picnic in January of 2013. She also published The Preppy Cookbook last year, the report said.
