'Farm-to-Table' Restaurant Concept to Replace Baste

Ridgewood Fare will be offering fresh lunch, dinner, take-out and catering options beginning Jan. 15.

In the ashes of Baste, a new farm-to-table dining concept will soon be arriving.

Owner Marge Parlamis tells Patch "Ridgewood Fare" is scheduled to open on Tuesday, Jan. 15, about a year after Baste closed doors at 26 Wilsey Square.

"The cuisine of Ridgewood Fare is American fusion – an eclectic menu in a bistro-style venue for lunch and dinner or for take-out," Parlamis said. "A full catering menu is available for special events from lunch to weddings."

The daily lunch selection includes two soups, eight sandwiches, eight salad offerings, homemade scones, cookies and desserts.

"Our dinner menu is a la carte – all fresh and deliciously prepared, with a seasonal emphasis on 'farm-to-table' and sustainability," Parlamis said.

All sit-down menu options are also available for take-out. Prepared salads and foods sold by the pound can also be grabbed.

"Beautifully designed, Ridgewood Fare offers a perfect venue for a relaxing dinner or a quick lunch," Parlamis said. "Our goal is to serve delicious, fresh, well-prepared food and provide a wonderful dining experience in our warm, welcoming restaurant environment… or in your home."

All catering menus are handled by Toni DeLisi; David Peglia is the chef de cuisine; and Victor Rosasco is the culinary consultant of Ridgewood Fare.

Ridgewood Fare will be open Monday-Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Thursday-Saturday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Lunch hours run from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Saturday; and dinner will be served from 5 to 10 p.m. Thursday through Saturday.
