New Ridgewood Restaurant Now Serving Up Kabobs
Kabob on the Cliff's second location opened on Godwin Avenue this week.
In the works for the last three months at the former location of La Strada Gourmet, a new specialty Persian restaurant fired up the grill for lunch Thursday afternoon.
Kabob on the Cliff, at 23 Godwin Ave. in Ridgewood, owes its name to its founding location in Cliffside Park, where owner Hedieh Soltani and her family have been in business for four years.
Everything is grilled fresh, Soltani said, and while the new eatery serves up soups, salads, stews, gyros and falafel, kabobs are the specialty.

The kabob joint is the second new restaurant to open in the village this week, following hot on the heels of new Chestnut Street restaurant mémoire.
