In 2013, he recovered $2.025 million on behalf of the family of a motorcyclist killed in a crash involving an automobile. The recovery was extraordinary because Seigel located surveillance footage that refuted the police department’s investigation. Initially, the police department determined that the motorcyclist caused his own death since the only version of what happened was offered by the negligent driver of the automobile.

He has repeatedly been named a New Jersey Super Lawyers “Rising Star” and as a “Top 40 Under 40” by the National Trial Lawyers.

In 2013, Seigel founded the Seigel Capozzi Charity Fund, Inc., which last year donated two thousand backpacks to underprivileged children of Paterson’s public schools. He has donated his time to Habitat for Humanity, Wills for Heroes, and is a past recipient of the Paul Patti Humanitarian of the Year Award from the Boys & Girls Club of Lodi/Hackensack.

This past year, Seigel served as a Trustee of both the Bergen and Passaic County Bar Associations, as well as on the Board of Governors of the New Jersey Association for Justice. He is also in line to become Chair of the New Jersey State Bar Association’s Young Lawyer’s Division. Additionally, he is a frequent lecturer to attorneys and the public on the subject of insurance law and consumer protection.

Seigel resides in Ridgewood with his wife Eliana and two young children, Max and Luca.
