Farm-to-table hangout Ridgewood Fare hit some highs and lows, according to a recent food review on northjersey.com.
Reviewer Julia Sexton found the salt and cracked-pepper tempura shrimp quite solid, but wasn't exactly enamored by the yellowfin tuna two-ways or the mahi mahi taco. Further, Sexton wrote, some of the produce she sampled in June wasn't quite ripe, dampening her visits.
There were some pluses, according to the review – you might want to try out the silken pasta with grilled paprika-scented linguiça and basil. Perhaps sample the burger, topped with caramelized onions and blue cheese (though there were complaints over the (overly-large" bun). The herbed shoestring fries were a hit and the desserts were also lauded.
