Saladworks Opens in the Village

The menu includes fresh salads, sandwiches and soups for those looking to eat healthy.

As promised, health-centric Saladworks opened the doors Monday morning to the public.

A chain founded in New Jersey, Saladworks has more than 100 locations nationwide. The newest is at 37 Chestnut Street in Ridgewood.

"We will provide extremely fresh, made-to-order, entree-sized salads, sandwiches and soups as an alternative food offering for health conscious consumers on the go," franchise owner Bob Gallo Jr., a Ridgewood resident, said of the chain two weeks ago.
