Tons of Supplies Still at 'Nimble' Glen Rock Hardware

While other stores may be fresh out of basic-but-critical supplies as residents across the county make mad dashes, Glen Rock Hardware on Rock Road still has considerable inventory in stock.

"We've been really busy today," owner Geno Paolucci told Patch Friday afternoon.

He wasn't kidding. Customers piled into the store, leaving with drop cloths, firewood, gas lighters, duct tape, flashlights and batteries by the dozens.

"Being small and nimble, I can hustle when the community needs me," he said, ringing up flash lights at the register.

There are 2,000 packs of D-batteries in stock, a couple hundred flashlights and a litany of other supplies still on shelves of the local hardware store.

Like other retailers in the area, Paolucci is fresh out of generators. If people order them by Sunday, they should arrive by Thursday, he said.

Even if the power goes out, Paolucci will be ready to keep up with demand. More supply orders are on the way in the upcoming days, he said.

"Even if the power is out, I'll be here in the dark selling flash lights," he laughed. "It's pretty ironic."
