What's the Best Summer Job for Local High School Kids?`

With the end of the school year just around the corner, it's a good time for teens to start looking for their summer jobs.

Ridgewood, Glen Rock and the surrounding area offer many potential jobs for students seeking seasonal employment.

There are several clubs with pools that may need life guards, such as the , the  and the . There are also numerous camps in the area which may need counselors, like Glen Rock's "The Shack" recreation summer program or one of the numerous camps from the Ridgewood Parks & Recreation Department.

Year-round businesses may also need some help during the summer months. Part-time students can help fill gaps left by regular employees who go away on vacation. Downtown Ridgewood has many small shops and restuarants which may need help – everything from consignment boutiques and gift shops to coffee houses and steakhouses.

Glen Rock's main strip can boast a number of businesses and restaurants as well. Larger stores and supermarkets, like  in Ridgewood, are often looking for more staff.
