Ridgewood's Fantastic Earth Day Coming April 21

Ridgewood's Earth Day/Arbor Day held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Van Neste Square. Entertainment for all ages will ensure that this event will be fun for all!

The Village of Ridgewood will hold its annual Earth Day Fair on Saturday, April 21, at Memorial Park at Van Nest Square, located on East Ridgewood Avenue in Ridgewood. The fair will be held from 10 a.m. 'til 2 p.m., and will be a fun event for all ages!

Hosted by the Ridgewood Environmental Advisory Committee (REAC), this year's event is dedicated to trees and will feature programs for children and educational sessions for all attendees. The RHS Students for Environmental Action club will showcase a project called "A Tree in the Village," featuring a scavenger hunt for elementary school students, "tree book" profiles developed by middle school students, and a multi-media contest by high school students.

The library will be sponsoring storytelling evenets and displays will feature some great showcases of animals by the NJ Bat Man. Additional entertainment will include a multitude of sessions, such as an educational lineup on the value of trees, organic tree and shrub care, exploring the natural world in New Jersey, home energy efficiency, and more. Music will be provided by Melissa Baney and Ridgewood High School's singing groups, The Maroon Men and the Acabellas.
