Glen Rock Psychologist Hosting Classes on Effective Parenting

Strategies promote love and care but also firmness, Dr. Kevin Brennan says.

Borough psychologist Dr. Kevin Brennan in October will be hosting two interactive classes for parents on "effective discipline strategies that promote firmness, yet maintain love and ego building."

Dr. Brennan specializes in parental counseling. In a press release, his office said he focuses greatly on the highest rewards and the lowest, most frustrating downs on raising children. He works with parents of all age children.

“While consequence systems can vary from family to family, one rule needs to be upheld at any cost: never use your emotions as a consequence,” Brennan said in a press release. “It’s very important to show your children that your love and adoration cannot be shaken, no matter what they do.”

The first class will be held at Fair Lawn High School on Oct. 11. The second class will be held at at the Paramus Community School on Oct. 18. Both classes start at 7:00 p.m.

This event is open to parents or guardian and the strategies will be applicable to children of all ages. Ticket prices vary by location, so contact admin@drkevinb.com for more information.
