Week Ahead: Ridgewood BOE Reorganizes, Town Councils to Meet

Monday

Glen Rock school board meets at 8 p.m. BOE to discuss "Race to Nowhere" film and overall homework policy.

The Glen Rock Borough Council will be meeting at 7:30 p.m. for a work session. 

Tuesday

Author Richard Polton will be at the Ridgewood Public Library at 7 p.m. to discuss the life and works of Fred Wesley Wentworth, whose "magnificent structures influenced the Paterson immigrants who lived their lives in the buildings." 

The Ridgewood zoning board will be meeting at 7:30 p.m.

Wednesday

The Ridgewood Village Council will be meeting at 7:30 p.m. to discuss the shade tree policy, the entrance sign to Habernickel Park, and the municipal garage.

The Glen Rock Borough Council is expected to pass its $17 million municipal budget when it meets at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

Thursday

New York Knicks legend Earl "The Pearl" Monroe will be signing copies of his new book at 6 p.m. at Bookends.

UFC welterweight champion Georges St. Pierre will be signing copies of his new autobiography at 8 p.m. at Bookends.

Friday

There will be a showing of "Robot and Frank," at 1 p.m. for the Ridgewood Public Library's movie matinee.

Saturday

Lidia Bastianich, chef and star of Lidia's Italy on PBS, will be signing copies of her new cookbook at Bookends at 1 p.m.

The New Jersey Choral Society will perform its annual gala, "Bel CAnto" at the Woman's Club of Ridgewood at 7 p.m. Tickets are $75.

Sunday

The Parlance Chamber Concert Series will present works by Beethoven and Brahms with "three stunning young virtuosi" at 4 p.m. at West Side Presbyterian. The players are Anthony McGill, principal clarinet, Met Opera Orchestra; Nicholas Canellakis, cello; Inon Barnatan, piano.
