Who Has the Best Burger in Town?

Schoolhouse Museum's Best Burger Barbecue Contest will determine the winner on Saturday, June 11

Who do you think has the best burger in the village? On June 11 from 12:30 to 2:00 p.m. at the Schoolhouse Museum, you can find out.

For $7 the general public can evaluate the tasty burger treats of , , , and new kids on the block, .

Two judgings will determine which burger is best – one popular vote and the other by a panel of five professional judges.

Local restauranteur Drew Nieporent, the owner of the Tribecca Grill, NOBU and Corton in Manhattan; Social Editor of 201 Magazine and The Ridgewood News, Deirdre Ward; Joy Hamburger, a cookbook author and curator of the Schoolhouse Museum; Joan Groome, the executive director of the Ridgewood Chamber of Commerce; and burger fan Mayor Keith Killion.

There will also be a beefy mix of turn-of-the-century games for children along with live music. But you'll want to gobble those tickets up while you can – only 200 will be issued; children under 17 must be accompanied by an adult.

To purchase tickets by mail, send a request and self-addressed stamped envelope to The Schoolhouse Museum, 650 E. Glen Ave., Ridgewood, NJ 07450 (checks payable to the Ridgewood Historical Society.)

Tickets can also be purchased at the Schoolhouse Museum on Thursdays and Saturdays from 1 to 3 p.m. and Sundays from 2 to 4 p.m.
