Play One Of Les Paul's Guitars at the Mahwah Museum

Musicians can sign up to play precious guitars once owned by Les Paul at sessions to be held at the Mahwah Museum, 201 Franklin Turnpike on Wednesday October 24 and Wednesday December 5 from 6 – 10 p.m.   Among the guitars available is one that was made especially for Les and used on the west coast in his performances there.  An identical guitar was kept here on the East Coast for his use.  There is a guitar specially made for Jimmy Page of Led Zeppelin and a custom guitar made by Gibson to honor the first responders on the 10th anniversary of September 11, 2001. 


Up to five players can play together at each 45 minute session.  Family and friends are welcome to observe.  45 minute sessions are $25 per guitar player and $5 per audience member.

The Mahwah Museum, at 201 Franklin Turnpike, features exhibits “Les Paul In Mahwah” and “New Jersey Fights in the Civil War”, and is open Wednesday and Weekends from 1 to 5 PM.  Also at the Museum, the The Donald Cooper Railroad, which has reopened after extensive maintenance, is open on weekends from 1 to 5 PM.


The Old Station Museum and Caboose, exhibiting a valuable collection of railroad based artifacts, is open on Sundays from 2-4 PM though the last weekend in October.  The Old Station Museum is located at 1871 Old Station Lane, Mahwah.  Admission is $3 per person or $5 per family.
