Honor Flight

On April 29, 2004 the World War II Memorial was open to the public to serve the memory of the over 16 million World War II era veterans. As time passes fewer and fewer of these brave men and women are left alive to tell the story of how the United States served as the Arsenal of Democracy to save the world from the evils that engulfed it.

On April 23, 2014 Professor Lawrence DiBello and the History Club will pay tribute to this generation by showing the documentary movie Honor Flight to those veterans of the tri-state area who cannot travel to the memorial in Washington D.C. We will honor those who have passed and those who have a limited amount of time left. These men and women will have the ability to tell their stories to the younger generations who will learn about the sacrifice of this great generation of Americans.
