Hamilton School 5K to Benefit American Cancer Society

Race kicks off at 8:30 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 29.

Hamilton School will kick off Cancer Awareness Month Sunday with its first 5K run benefiting the American Cancer Society.

The race will kick off at 8:30 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 29 in the Hamilton parking lot and shoot down Rodney Street, hanging a left on Main and wrapping around Southboro Lane and Thornbury Avenue to come back again.

For the first time in the event’s three-year history, the 10 percent of the proceeds from the race free will go to benefit the American Cancer Society.

Volunteers are still being sought to run registration tables and help with the race, and those interested can contact Dawn at wanbeaudie@aol.com or Liz at elizabethsp73@gmail.com.

There’s still time to register for the 5K or the one-mile family fun run, which kicks off at 9:30 a.m. Prospective runners can sign up here.
