7 Options to Celebrate New Year’s Eve in Bergen County

Some of our favorite local watering holes, restaurants and venues are holding New Year's Eve events right here in Bergen County.

The Shannon Rose Irish Pub, Ramsey – A $75 ticket will get you in the door and set you up with an open bar, (excluding shots of top shelf liquor), a buffet, champagne toast and live music. The Shannon Rose will be offering a $25 price for designated drivers, who cannot drink at all. The even runs from 9 p.m. – 2 a.m. Call 201-962-7602 to have your ticket reserved.

Chakra, Paramus – Seating is available from 9:45 p.m. and later for their New Year's celebration. The party includes a 4-course prix-fixe dinner which will include a midnight champagne toast, party favors and music for $132. If a quite dinner is more your style, Chakra is offering earlier seating between 5 – 6:15 p.m. for a 3-course prix-fixe dinner for $79. Call 201-556-1530 for reservations.

Fink’s BBQ Smokehouse, Dumont – New Year’s Eve at Fink’s offers up an open bar, hot and cold buffet, party favors and champagne toast at midnight for $60. The event runs from 9 p.m. – 2 a.m. Call 201-384-3210 for more information.

Mexicali Live, Teaneck – This concert venue, which offers 100 beers, has two packages to offer on New Year’s Eve celebration entitle Life Speed. Package 1 includes a premium open bar from 8 p.m. to closing, a full buffet, a champagne toast and party favors for $55. Package 2 is the same, but doesn’t start until 10 p.m. and costs $25. The Porter House, Montvale – For $40 guests will be provided with a full open bar from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m., appetizers and live music by The Dan Lane Band. Call 201-307-6300 for more information.

The Cornerstone Restaurant & Bar, Hillsdale – The Cornerstone is the option for people who aren’t looking for party packages. They will have their Ala Carte menu, (cash menu, cash bar), a DJ until 3 a.m., a complimentary toast at midnight and party supplies. There is no fee at the door.

Tommy Fox’s Public House, Bergenfield – Traditional Irish folks can actually celebrate the changing of the calendar year in Ireland (which happens at 7 p.m. ET) at a party in the afternoon. They will have an Irish band and their regular dinner menu and specials from 4:30 – 7:30 p.m. If you’re celebrating striking of midnight here in the U.S., they’ve got a party going on from 9 p.m. – 1 a.m. A $45 fee at the door will get you an open bar, a buffet, party favors and a midnight champagne toast.
